The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (“BACP”) recently issued new guidelines for counsellors defining “woman” and “man.”  BACP has since apologized for suggesting that being a woman “means adhering to social norms of femininity, such as being nurturing, caring, social, emotional, vulnerable, and concerned with appearance.”
