Shawn Thomas Hallett, 38, of Texas was arrested for voyeurism in South Carolina after using his cellphone to create a video recording of a female occupying the adjacent stall in the women’s bathroom. The incident occurred in a QuickTrip convenience store. Hallet was dressed in female clothing and a wig.
Despite numerous men having been caught committing nefarious acts in female bathrooms and locker rooms, a 2017 CNN article coauthored by transgender woman Dani Stewart claimed: “Anti-discrimination protections covering gender identity have been around for years, and there is no evidence they lead to attacks in public facilities.”
