Lauren Jeska (U.K.)

Lauren Jeska, a man who identifies as a transgender woman, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the attempted murder of Ralph Knibbs, a UK Athletics official at a stadium in Birmingham.
In an unprovoked display of male violence, Jeska “stabbed Knibbs multiple times in the head and neck after a dispute over whether she should be able to compete in women’s races.”
Unfortunately, Jeska is likely to serve this sentence in a women’s prison, in violation of the UN’s Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners.

  1. I’m tired of this venue of describing a transwoman as “a man who identifies as a transgender woman.” The articles you cite properly describes her as transgender. Your bias shows through with this negative description of transwomen. While I abhor this person’s criminal behavior, I cannot respect this venues opinions in light of this obvious misguided description of this person and others in the past.
