U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission @EEOCNews (USA)

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission issued a landmark ruling that affirms employment discrimination against lesbian, gay, and bisexual employees violates Title VII, the federal law that bans employment discrimination based on protected characteristics. We hope plaintiffs in individual actions will be able to use this determination to overcome years of bad (and erroneous) case law that has held otherwise.

Transgender plaintiffs have enjoyed this protection since at least 2013.
