The Hawaii state legislature passed a measure to allow a transgender person to produce a sworn statement from a licensed medical or mental health provider, verifying that the person’s birth certificate does not align with their “gender identity” and that, in their professional opinion, the registrant’s sex designation should be changed, essentially ensuring there are absolutely no standards regarding legal transition and thus endangering Women and Girls when such “women” later seek access to spaces designated for Women and Girls.
