Men’s Rights Activists are again misrepresenting a bill filed to restrict use of the restroom in public schools based on biological sex. House Bill 2810, filed by Republican Representative Gilbert Pena, would require school districts to adopt a policy providing that only persons of the same biological sex may be present at the same time in any bathroom, locker room, or shower facility in a building owned by the district. Trans activists are describing a statutory damages provision in the bill as a “bounty” on transgender people. Trans activists did the same campaign of disinformation with a defeated Kentucky bill that had a similar damages provision.
Trans activists demonstrate time and time again the value of having a law school education. You can read about statutory damages here.
