Lily Cade is a “Gold Star Lesbian” porn performer who chooses not to shoot scenes with trans women.
Last night, Lily Cade was subjected to a barrage of tweets from trans activists and their allies (seemingly led by trans porn star, Chelsea Poe) demanding that she explain and justify her decision.
What we have here is an example of sexual coercion as queer activism. Shaming women for their sexual choices is an underhanded attempt to make them choose differently. Lily Cade has the right to refuse sex with any person at any time and for any reason she wants and is not obligated to justify or discuss that choice with anyone.

I’ve never sucked a dick, never plan on it, and can’t understand why porn, the ultimate violation of women, is less reprehensible than acknowledging that not all trans women want to fuck you, violate you, co-opt you, mess your lives up, shame you, control you, or any number of other socially screwed up ways to throw the balance further off. It’s almost like pre-emptory hate; you anticipate the exact same conduct from EVERYONE in a group with as many variables as similarities.

I think pornography demeans women, so I have no opinion on Lily Cade. I find it difficult to support anyone who promotes or defend pornography. I know some women get involved in porn out of economic necessity, and I’m not directly attacking the women. Rather, the institution and business of pornography is very damaging to women. Having said this, I agree with the statement,

Most so-called “lesbian porn” is really for the sexual pleasure of heterosexual men. If the lucrative porn industry had to depend on lesbians for its economic survival, it would collapse.
I still don’t get why ANYONE has a right to demand sex with ANYONE ELSE! Who cares what the circumstances are! I mean…….I have no desire to suck a dick either but that is my personal choice. Lily’s rights are the ones being violated and I don’t care whether it is a trans woman or not she needs to get over herself and move along.
